Available ONLY On Etsy
I have quite a few prints in my Etsy shop of photos that I have never posted on Flickr, including the following:

I realize that I've been neglecting my blog quite a bit. Truthfully, I'm not much good at this whole blogging thing, but I really do try! I want to be a good blogger, but it hasn't really worked out so far. Part of the problem is that I put off blogging until I have such a backlog of stuff that it becomes even more daunting. Tonight I am trying to make a dent in that backlog and play catch up.
Really, it's a problem with my photos in general. I take so many, so often, that it's easy for me to just keep shooting more and more, only editing a few or posting a few along the way.. leaving a bunch of them just sitting in folders waiting for the day that I'll remember they're there and actually put them somewhere. My pictures from our trip to the Grand Canyon are a great example. I think I uploaded 2 to Flickr... but I took hundreds. So, rather than bombarding my Flickr account with all of those (now "old") photos, I'm going to post some of them here.

Now for some of the people. The group that went was myself and Ian, his parents, his sister Elizabeth, cousin Allison, other sister Jessica, Jess's husband Chad, and their baby girl, Anna. It was a good time. :)

Getting started on Etsy is tricky - it's a lot of self-promotion, and at the beginning it is very hard to compete with all the experienced sellers. So, give me a hand. :)

Commentary on Letters + Extras
I know I haven't been good about keeping this updated, but I'm going to try harder. Tonight I'm using this blog for a little commentary on a photo of mine. The photo is this one, titled Letters:
This is one of my favorite photos that I've taken. One of the things that makes this photo special, is that the pieces of paper in the photo, the "letters" were actually letters. I was really upset (angry/frustrated) with someone, and I took a bunch of blank pages and wrote out all these things on them. Then I crumbled them up, and threw them on my floor. And it made me feel better.
Some previously unseen (and mostly unedited) photos from this day:

05.05.09 Outtakes
It has been a crazy week, and last night decided to shoot some self-portraits to melt away the stress. Really, photography is the best therapy for me. Not that I need therapy... *nervous laughter* ;) I've really taken my very best photos while being stressed, angry, sick, sad, etc. I still have a few more from this shoot that I will post to Flickr, but here are a few that just didn't make the cut.
I really liked the composition of this one, with the empty wall, and the way the colors came out, but I think I look like I'm doing stomach crunches, as opposed to lounging about in a comfortable and cozy manner.
This one I almost really like. I like the positioning of my arm, and the lighting, but don't care for my expression. I look a bit sleepy or "dead" in the eyes. Or like I am about to sneeze. ;)
I have a few others that I'm going back and forth about so they may end up on here at some point. Definitely one or 2 more to come to Flickr though. :) Thanks for looking!!
